Madagascar has the largest amount of baobab species in the world; you can find 6 out of 9 baobabs. “Renala” is its name in Malagasy as its meaning is “the mother of the forest”. The piece is to honor “the mother of the forest”. The different colors of sand represent the diversity in the forest.
